Dharamshala: The 98th Board Meeting of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s Religion and Culture Society was convened at the Department of Religion and Culture, Central Tibetan Administration, on 2 March 2026.

The meeting commenced at 12:00 PM, chaired by Sikyong Penpa Tsering, who serves as the Chairman of the Board and the officiating Kalon (Minister) for the Department of Religion and Culture.

Other members in attendance included Secretary Dhondul Dorjee of the Department of Religion and Culture; Secretary Palden Dhondup of the Department of Home; Secretary Tsering Dhondup of the Department of Finance; Secretary Jampa Phuntsok of the Department of Health; and Joint Secretary Tenzin Dolkar, Accountant of the Trust.

During the meeting, discussions regarding several administrative and financial matters including, adoption of resolutions from the 97th Board Meeting; implementation progress report on resolution adopted at the 96th meeting; audit report of the Trust; interim budget expenditure report for fiscal year 2025-26; proposed budget for upcoming fiscal year 2026-27; appointment of auditor and tax consultant for fiscal year 2025-26; and reappointment of Board members.
