Department of Religion and Culture, Central Tibetan Administration, organized the first Seminar of four major schools of Tibetan Buddhism and Bon Tradition at Gyuto Monastery, near Dharamsala from 1st March to 3rd March, 2015.

The topic of the three days seminar is on Pramitta ༼ཕར་ཕྱིན་༽ from the Mahayana Buddhism. This seminar is organized with aims of improving the unity and harmony among Tibetan religious schools and also sharing the knowledge of their own religious thought for the purpose of better understanding of Tibetan Buddhism.

Chief guest Dr. Lobsang Sangay and guest of honor prof. Samdhong  Rinpoche, former Kalon Tripa, inaugurated the seminar.

The first seminar is attended by 105 representatives from 50 different Tibetan monastic institutions from India and Nepal. 12 expert speakers and 10 monks who are undertaking specialization course on Tibetan Buddhist philosophy since 2014 are also taking part in the seminar.
