Dharamshala: Secretary Chime Tseyang of the Department of Religion and Culture, CTA, attended the Closing Ceremony of Sager Nun’s Science Leadership Programme as Chief Guest to address the participating cohorts on 28 March 2023.

The programme was participated by 28 nuns from five different nunneries, namely Geden Choeling, Dolma Ling Nunnery, Jamyang Choling, Jangsemling Nunnery, and Jangchub Choeling. Prof. Eric Chudler from the University of Washington, Seattle, and Sheer Karny from UC Berkeley were the trainers for the three-week-long workshop on neurology.

The Sager Nun’s Science Leadership Program is one of the many science workshops organised by the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives (LTWA) for nuns and monks in the last couple of decades that is in accordance with His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s vision of collaborating science and religion. This initiative was commenced in 2019 and since its inception, the LTWA has organised similar workshops biannually with a three-week duration for each training.
