Dharamshala: The Department of Culture and Religion, Central Tibetan Administration, commenced its 2nd Tibetan Arts and Crafts exhibition earlier this morning at the courtyard of Thekchen Choeling Temple in Dharamshala. The programme is scheduled to run for two days from 24 to 25 September 2025.
The event was inaugurated by chief guest Yangten Rinpoche, Secretary of the Office of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, who was accompanied by Secretary Dhondul Dorjee of the Department of Religion and Culture.
The fest brought together individual artists and organisations, each showcased the variety of traditional and contemporary Tibetan art forms. It offered the visitors a glimpse into Tibet’s diverse artistic heritage through Thangka paintings, traditional Tibetan costumes, Mani stone carvings, and Sand Mandala. Modern artworks, books, and other Tibetan artworks were also on display, blending heritage with innovation.
The primary aim of the event was to create awareness of Tibetan arts and crafts, while offering a platform for artists and craftsmen to present their work to a broader audience.
This event was successful with the funding support of U S government.
