On the third day of the celebration marking 65 years since the establishment of the Tibetan Children’s Village (TCV) in Upper Dharamshala, the Department of Religion and Culture’s Secretary, Mr. Dhondul Dorje, attended as the chief guest for the Tibetan opera performance depicting the life of Venerable Sakya Pandita Kunga Gyaltsen Pal Zangpo.
The performance began at 9:00 AM at the Upper TCV School basketball court, drawing a large audience of students and staff. During the interval, Secretary Dhondul Dorje delivered an address highlighting the cultural and educational significance of preserving traditional Tibetan performing arts. Following his remarks, the opera resumed, continuing to captivate the audience with its artistic portrayal of the great Sakya scholar’s life and teachings.
