Dharamsala, September 8, 2015: Hon’ble Kalon Pema Chhinjor visited Tibetan Institute of Performing Art today as the chief guest of the inaugural function of the workshop on Acting Craft, Theatre and stage production, to the senior Artists of TIPA.
The function started with lighting of butter lamp by Hon’ble Kalon followed by offering traditional tea and sweet rice. In his address to the participants, hon’ble Kalon talked about the importance of Tibetan culture. He also appreciated staff and artists of TIPA for their hard work and thanked Mr. Harry Fuhrmann and Mr. Franz Maucher, president of Schwetzinger Tibethilfe for conducting the workshop.
Mr. Wangdue Tsering, the director of TIPA, said that the main focus of this workshop is to expose the TIPA artists to the varied and rich ambit performing art as advised by His Holiness the Dalai Lama in his Shoton 2015 address.
