Dharamshala: Secretary Dhondul Dorjee of the Department of Religion and Culture, Central Tibetan Administration, attended an offering of long-life prayers to Kyabje 7th Yongzin Ling Rinpoche, Jetsun Tenzin Lungtok Trinley Chophak Palzangpo, on 7 March 2025 at the Drepung Loseling Jangchup Choeling Monastery in Laxmi Nagar-Delhi.
Prior to the long-life prayer offering, Rinpoche bestowed teachings on the Three Principal Aspects of the Path (lam tso nam sum) and the Eight Verses of Mind Training (lo jong tsig gye ma). An offering of mandala was also made by the former abbot of the Drepung Loseling, Geshe Lobsang Samten.
In light of the recent earthquake in Tibet that caused severe damage to people and property, and the sad news of the passing of His Holiness’ elder brother, Kasur Tripa Gyalo Thondup, Rinpoche bestowed a Mani transmission and led the accumulation of the Mani mantra as an expression of solidarity and respect.
During the long-life ceremony, Secretary of the Department of Religion and Culture offered a mandala, followed by offerings from Standing Committee Member of the Tibetan Parliament in Exile, Geshe Atong Rinchen Gyaltsen, Tibetan parliamentarian Geshe Lharampa Gowo Lobsang Phende, and former Deputy Speaker of the Tibetan Parliament in Exile, Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok.
Rinpoche further granted audience to all the attendees before concluding the long-life ceremony program.
