Dharamshala: On 28 May 2026, Secretary Dhondul Dorjee of the Department of Religion and Culture, Central Tibetan Administration, attended the Upper TCV Inter-House Cultural Dance and Song Competition as the chief guest at Hermann Gmeiner Hall in observance of the Year of Compassion.

The programme commenced at 6:30 p.m. with the introduction of the judges for the competition. This was followed by the inauguration of the cultural performances, during which each house presented three performances, including one by senior students, one by junior students, and one duet performance. More than 200 students participated in the competition.

Chief guest of the programme, Secretary Dhondul Dorjee, delivered a speech, after which the chairperson of the school’s sports committee, Dorjee, concluded with a vote of thanks.  During the event, the chief guest also presented ceremonial scarves to the judges in appreciation of their contributions. Scarves and gifts were likewise presented to the teachers from each house in recognition of their efforts in training the students for the competition.

The winners of the inter-house cultural dance and song competition were later announced, and the event concluded with all attendees standing for the Tibetan national anthem.
